Meet the History
The José Alvalade Stadium, an icon of Portuguese football, is a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity. Inaugurated in 2003, it replaced a stadium of the same name, carrying with it the soul and passion of Sporting Clube de Portugal. Its imposing architecture, with curved lines and a shiny metal façade, makes it stand out in the Lisbon landscape.
Alvalade has hosted major events such as the 2004 European Championship and numerous Champions League matches, consolidating its position as one of the most important stadiums in Europe.
